Configuration steps
  1. 1.In the Instant On web or mobile app, add a Guest network at each site.
  2. 2.Set the guest portal to External captive portal and paste the Purple splash page URL.
  3. 3.Add the Purple RADIUS servers for authentication (UDP 1812) and accounting (UDP 1813) with the shared secret.
  4. 4.Add walled garden entries for the Purple portal domain and the Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-in domains.
  5. 5.Keep guest client isolation on, and put guests on their own VLAN if they share a wired network with staff.
  6. 6.Connect Purple to your CRM or email platform so new profiles sync automatically.
  7. 7.Turn on post-visit review emails with your Google and Tripadvisor links.

What walled garden domains must be whitelisted on Aruba Instant On networks?

Administrators must add Purple hostnames (*.purple.ai and asset CDNs) to the allowed destination list (walled garden) in Aruba Instant On. If social login or single sign-on is enabled, OAuth authentication domains for Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook must also be added to ensure unauthenticated devices can complete the login journey.
