WiFi that welcomes everyone who comes through your doors
Churches, cathedrals, mosques, gurdwaras, synagogues and temples welcome worshippers, tourists, families and community groups, often in the same week. Purple gives visitors a filtered welcome in their own language, gives staff and volunteers their own sign-in, and keeps livestream and AV kit on a network of its own.
- Sign-in in each visitor's own language
- DNS content filtering for families
- Volunteer access that expires on its own
- Runs on the access points you already own

Your building serves a whole community. Your WiFi was set up for the office.
A single place of worship can host services, school visits, tourists, a food bank, a youth club and a wedding in the same week, run by a small staff team and a rota of volunteers. A router in the vestry or office was never built for that. The gap usually shows up in four places.
A typical place of worship today
- One password, written on a card by the door and shared with everyone
- No filtering on the network children and young people use
- Volunteers who still have the password years after they stopped helping
- The livestream camera and the card reader on the same network as every visitor
With Purple
- Visitors join through a welcome page in their own language, with what is on today
- DNS content filtering with Internet Watch Foundation integration on the public network
- Staff sign in with their own account, and volunteer keys expire when the rota ends
- Every device gets its own key and VLAN, kept away from the public
Everyone and everything in your building, each on the right network
Four networks that would normally need four suppliers, run from one dashboard on the hardware you already have, whether you look after one building or a hundred.
A welcome in their own language
Tourists and first-time visitors join through a page in your name that shows opening times, events and how to give.
02 · Congregation and communityFiltered WiFi families can trust
DNS content filtering on the public network, so youth groups, families and community groups get online safely.
03 · Staff and volunteersTheir own sign-in, no shared password
Staff connect with the account they already use. Volunteers get a key that ends when their time does.
04 · DevicesLivestream, AV and giving kit, kept apart
xPSK gives cameras, sound desks, screens and card readers their own key and VLAN, revocable one at a time.
Turn a visit into a lasting connection
Tourists at heritage sites, families at a baptism or naming ceremony, guests at a wedding and people looking in for the first time all reach for their phones. Purple greets them with a welcome page in your name and in their own language, shows what is on today, and asks permission before anything is sent to your CRM. Glasgow Life uses the same sign-in to run short surveys of tourists and residents across its venues.
- Sign-in follows the language set on each visitor's phone
- Today's services, events, tours and ways to give on the screen they are already holding
- Separate opt-ins for event news and giving, with UK GDPR consent and a full audit trail
- Sign-ups sent to your CRM and email platform through 400+ data connectors
VisitorsFiltered WiFi for every group that meets under your roof
Youth clubs, parent and toddler groups, study circles, food banks and support groups all use your building, and many of them include children and vulnerable adults. Purple Shield filters the public network at DNS level, so you decide which categories, apps and sites load and harmful content is blocked before it reaches a screen.
- DNS content filtering with phishing and malware protection
- Internet Watch Foundation integration on every public network
- You choose what the sign-in asks for, and ask for no more than you need
- Community groups kept on the public network, away from staff, office and devices
Data minimisation is built in: ask only what you need, keep every consent on record, and nothing reaches your mailing list without a clear opt-in.

Filtered WiFiAccess that starts and ends with the rota
Clergy, administrators, caretakers and finance staff connect with the account they already use. Purple syncs with Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta and JumpCloud over SCIM, so when someone leaves their access goes with them. Volunteers who have no work account get a time-limited key instead, with nothing to install.
- Staff sign in with Entra ID, Google Workspace or Okta, with no shared password
- Access ends when an account is disabled in your directory
- Time-limited keys for volunteers, contractors and visiting speakers, with no device management
- Every session logged with person, device, time and location
Staff and volunteersA private key for the livestream, the sound desk and the card reader
Livestream cameras, sound and AV systems, screens, card readers for giving, CCTV and door controllers cannot sign in with a username and password. xPSK gives each one its own key and VLAN, with its own firewall and bandwidth settings, so a visitor on the public network cannot reach them and a leaked key affects one device, not the building.
- Revoke a single key without re-keying every device
- MAC binding ties each key to the first device that uses it
- Works under your vendor's name: iPSK on Cisco, DPSK on Ruckus, MPSK on HPE Aruba and Juniper Mist, PPSK on Extreme and UniFi
- No per-device licence and no cap on devices per key
xPSKWhat it takes to build it yourself, and what it takes with Purple
Everything a large venue's network team would build and run, delivered as a service on the hardware you have.

Run every network with the people you already have
Most places of worship have no IT department, just an administrator, a caretaker and a few willing volunteers. Purple takes the WiFi off their list, from the visitor welcome to the filtering and the volunteer keys, and lets a diocese, trust or association see every building from one dashboard.

Place of worship WiFi questions, answered
What administrators, trustees and estates teams ask us most
Do we need to replace our access points?
No. Purple runs on the access points you already own, including Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper Mist, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cambium, Extreme and Fortinet. There is no server to install in the building.
Is the public network safe for children and young people?
Purple Shield filters the public network at DNS level, with phishing and malware protection and Internet Watch Foundation integration. You choose which categories, apps and sites load, and staff and devices sit on separate networks.
Do visitors have to hand over personal details to get online?
You decide what the sign-in asks for. Ask only what you need, keep separate opt-ins for event news and giving, and every consent is recorded with a full UK GDPR audit trail. Nothing reaches your mailing list without a clear opt-in.
How do we give volunteers access without sharing a password?
Give each volunteer, contractor or visiting speaker a time-limited key that stops working when it expires, with no app or device management needed. Staff with a work account sign in through Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace or Okta instead.
How do livestream cameras, AV and card readers connect?
With xPSK. Each device gets its own key and VLAN, with its own firewall and bandwidth settings, bound to the first device that uses it. Visitors on the public network cannot reach it, and you can revoke one key without touching any other device.
We look after many buildings. Can we manage them together?
Yes. A diocese, trust, association or group of congregations can run every building from one dashboard, with the same filtering and sign-in everywhere or different settings per site. Purple is licensed per access point and per venue, not per device.
Where is our data held?
Purple has RADIUS regions in the UK, EU and US, is ISO 27001 certified and UK GDPR compliant, and has had zero data breaches since 2012.
