Connected cardio. 24/7 access. Members who actually come back.
One platform powering connected-equipment bandwidth, staffless 24/7 entry, member-app presence check-in, and the retention triggers that catch a member before they cancel.

Cardio. Access. Retention. Privacy.
Modern gyms are connected ecosystems — a Peloton row, a Myzone studio, a 4am access app, a member CRM, a locker-room camera ban. Purple is the network layer that holds it all up without compromise.
Modern fitness is a network problem. Purple is the platform.
Connected cardio, member apps, smart-access doors, body-comp scanners, heart-rate displays — every piece of the modern gym depends on the network. Purple is the layer that runs them all and lets them all talk to your member CRM.
Peloton, Technogym, Myzone — all on a network designed for them.
A single Peloton Bike+ recommends 10-25 Mbps sustained. Multiply that by a 30-bike row in a SoulCycle-style class and you've already saturated a single AP before any member joins guest. Purple's cardio-VLAN dedicates an SSID to equipment with QoS that keeps every screen smooth — even on a Saturday morning.

The 3am check-in still works when the front desk is closed.
Smart-access gyms run on the member app + the cloud + the gym's WiFi. If any of those three break, members are locked out at 3am with nobody to call. Purple's identity-aware network with redundant uplinks and offline-tolerant access means the door still opens — and the member-app presence check-in still fires — even on a bad ISP day.

Catch the at-risk member before the cancel form.
Visit frequency predicts churn better than any other signal. Purple's presence engine knows which members have dropped from 8× a month to 2× — and surfaces them to the retention team with a one-tap re-engage flow before the direct-debit cancellation comes in.

Members measured by visits, not by direct debits.
The global health-club industry is 187 million members across 150,000+ clubs. Every one of those members has a visit rhythm. Purple turns the rhythm into the single best leading indicator of cancellation — and the single best moment to intervene.
Lockers, scales, hair-dryers, your member's phone — all isolated, all safe.
Locker rooms are a privacy minefield. AirDrop broadcasts, mDNS beacons, and an over-eager guest network can all leak member data into spaces where members expect privacy. Purple's privacy-first profile for changing-area APs disables broadcast discovery, locks down portal logging, and keeps the GDPR/PIPEDA story clean.
- Per-zone AP profiles — gym floor vs. locker room vs. studio
- Broadcast discovery suppressed in privacy zones
- No captive-portal data capture in changing areas
- Auditable, exportable per-zone configuration evidence

Member-app presence — without building your own SDK.
Members already have your branded app for class booking and member ID. Purple turns it into a presence-aware companion — without you writing a single line of mobile code. We see when a phone joins the SSID, which AP it joined, and how long it's been there.
Auto check-in on club entry. A bike-ready ping when their reserved Peloton is free. A 3-minute nudge before their class starts if they're still in the changing room. Studio-aware, presence-driven member experience — running on your existing app and your existing access points.
The numbers that decide whether your member renews.
Card-on-file churn is a lagging indicator. Visit frequency, class-attendance drop, and dwell-pattern shift are leading ones. Purple surfaces all three on the same dashboard your retention team already opens every Monday morning.
See exactly when a member's pattern broke — class skipped, missed week, dropped from 3× to 1×.
Which classes fill, which empty, which times shift — all measured by AP-level presence per studio.
How often each cardio piece, machine row, or strength platform actually gets used. Plan equipment refresh on real data.
Common gym network questions, answered.
Can Purple support a row of 30 Pelotons in one studio?
Yes. Cardio rows are exactly the deployment scenario the equipment-VLAN feature is designed for. We dedicate an SSID + VLAN to equipment with QoS prioritisation so a 30-bike Saturday spin class never starves member guest WiFi or vice versa.
What happens to door access when our broadband drops?
Smart-access doors should never depend on a single uplink. Purple supports failover (LTE/5G secondary), local-cache authentication for opted-in members, and a documented manual-override procedure so the front desk has a clear protocol for the worst case.
How does the privacy-first locker-room profile work?
It's a per-zone AP configuration. APs serving locker rooms run a profile that suppresses broadcast discovery, disables captive-portal capture, and limits logging to anonymised connection counts. The configuration is auditable and exportable for your DPO or data-privacy officer.
Can presence trigger our existing member CRM?
Yes. Direct integrations exist with Mindbody, Glofox, Perfect Gym, Xplor TripleSeat, and a webhook/event API works with anything else. Your retention team gets at-risk members surfaced in the CRM they already use.
Does it work for boutique studios or only big chains?
Both. Single-site boutique studios run Purple over Ubiquiti or Meraki Go; 100+ club chains run it over Cisco Meraki or Aruba estates. The platform is the same — only the deployment scale changes.
