WiFi for theme parks

Every guest in your park, known by name and welcomed back next season

Guest WiFi that turns a day at the park into consented first-party data, recognises season pass holders, sells in the right zone at the right moment and keeps ride-side devices, tills and seasonal staff on their own secure networks. One platform, on the access points already across your estate.

  • Sign-in in each guest's own language
  • Season pass holders connect automatically
  • A different offer in every zone

The gap

You sell the tickets. You know a fraction of the people who used them.

A booking names one adult, then a family of five spends the whole day across rides, restaurants, shops and shows. Season pass holders come back again and again without your marketing team ever seeing it happen, and your app sits unopened on most of the phones in the park. That gap shows up in four places.

A typical park today

  • Ticket data names the lead booker, not the group, and says nothing about where they traveled from
  • Season pass holders treated like first-time visitors, with no record of how often they come
  • The same generic welcome screen at the gate, the arcade and the burger stand
  • Handheld scanners, tills and seasonal staff sharing one password with the guest network

With Purple

  • Every guest who connects signs in with consent, and answers one question you choose, such as their zip code
  • Pass holders sign in once, then connect automatically on every visit through a Passpoint profile in your own app
  • Each zone gets its own sign-in page and offer, as Resorts World Birmingham does for its arcade
  • Every device gets its own key and VLAN, and every member of staff signs in with their own account
One platform, four plays

From the parking lot to the last ride, every guest and every device on the right network

Guest data, season pass and app growth, in-park revenue and a secure operations network, run from one dashboard by the marketing, commercial and IT teams you already have.

Guest data

Turn a day at the park into a guest you can talk to all year

Guests sign in with email or a social account in a few taps, on a page in your brand and in the language set on their phone. Each sign-in carries CCPA/CPRA consent and arrives in your CRM through 400+ data connectors, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and Braze, tagged with the answers they gave. Your marketing team stops guessing who came and starts talking to them.

  • 79% of guests who signed in at Churchill Downs Racetrack opted in to marketing
  • 99.9% of those sign-ins included a zip code, mapping exactly where guests travel from
  • Brooklyn Nets collected 11,887 CRM records in the first week, with a 56% opt-in rate
  • Merlin Entertainments shows sign-in in each guest's device language across attractions in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America

Ask one question at sign-in, such as zip code or who they are visiting with, and your catchment and group-mix reports build themselves.

Season passes and app

Treat your season pass holders like regulars, and get your app opened

Your most valuable guests come back all season, and most of them are invisible once they are through the gate. Purple can install a Passpoint profile through your own park app, so pass holders sign in once and connect automatically on every visit, at every park you operate. For everyone else, the sign-in page is the moment to sell the pass and get the app downloaded.

  • Ask at sign-in whether a guest already holds a pass and send day visitors to the upgrade page, as Leyton Orient does for season cards
  • Let guests sign in with their existing loyalty account: 33% of European Tour Group guests signed in with MyTour
  • Promote your app download and loyalty scheme on the first screen guests see, as Genting Casinos UK does for MyGenting Rewards
  • Passpoint connects encrypted from the first moment, with no sign-in page to repeat and no break from MAC address changes

Zones and sponsors

A different offer at the food court, the gift shop and the water park

A guest connecting near the arcade wants something different from one connecting at the entrance. Purple shows a different sign-in page by zone, time of day or date, so the first screen a guest sees sells what is in front of them. The same pages give your partnership team sponsor inventory they can measure.

  • Resorts World Birmingham points guests to gift cards for the area they connected in, such as the arcade
  • NEC Group tags each record by the event the guest connected at, building 400k+ opted-in records with preferences a year
  • Rolex sponsored the sign-in pages at the Equestrian Sports Center in Tryon for 12 months
  • Arena GNP sent 9.6k guests from the sign-in page to the Mundo Imperial website

Operations

Ride-side tablets, scanners, tills and seasonal staff on their own secure networks

A park day runs on more than guests' phones. Handheld ticket scanners, ride-side tablets, EPOS terminals, kiosks and cameras need a stable connection, and so do the seasonal team members who join for the summer and leave in the autumn. xPSK gives every device its own key and VLAN, and staff sign in with their own account instead of a password written on a breakroom wall.

  • Works under your vendor's name: iPSK on Cisco, DPSK on Ruckus, MPSK on HPE Aruba and Juniper Mist, PPSK on Extreme and UniFi
  • EPOS on its own VLAN, isolated from the guest network, as PCI DSS expects
  • Time-limited keys for seasonal staff and contractors, with no MDM needed
  • Staff sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta or Google Workspace, and access ends when their account is disabled

Theme park WiFi questions, answered

What marketing, commercial and IT teams ask us most

Do we need to replace our access points?

No. Purple runs on the access points already across your park, including Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper Mist, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cambium, Extreme and Fortinet. Purple does not supply radios or coverage; it layers guest sign-in, data and security on top, with no on-site server to install.

How much guest data will we actually get?

It depends on your guests and how you ask, but venues already live give a guide. Churchill Downs Racetrack saw a 79% opt-in rate, Brooklyn Nets a 56% opt-in rate, and Merlin Entertainments handles 3.5m guest sign-ins a year across its attractions.

Can season pass holders skip the sign-in page?

Yes. A Passpoint profile can be installed through your own app or at the end of a one-off sign-in. After that, the guest's phone connects automatically and securely on every visit, at every park you operate.

Can the sign-in page change by zone or season?

Yes. Pages can differ by area of the park, time of day or date range, and scheduled pages go live and come down by themselves. Resorts World Birmingham shows guests offers for the area they connected in.

Which CRM, marketing and loyalty platforms do you connect to?

Purple connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze and 400+ more platforms through its connectors library, and can let guests sign in with an existing loyalty account, as European Tour Group does with MyTour.

Is guest data handled in line with CCPA/CPRA?

Yes. Every sign-in carries CCPA/CPRA consent with a full audit trail, and you choose exactly what you ask for. Purple is ISO 27001 certified, CCPA/CPRA compliant, and has had zero data breaches since 2012.

How do scanners, tills and ride-side tablets connect?

With xPSK. Each device gets its own key and VLAN, bound to the first device that uses it, so payment and ticketing kit stays apart from the guest network. Seasonal staff get time-limited keys or sign in with their own account, and you can revoke one key without touching any other device.
